What changed on the site in October 2026
Sixty-eight county guides, sixty town guides, a grant program section, contractor pages by county, and a real report you can read. Here is the list.
This is the first of a monthly note on what changed, so regular visitors and the people who link to us can see what is new without re-crawling the site.
- County guides for all 68 Alberta counties and municipal districts. Each has a farm guide, well depth, hardiness zone, solar, and an example report. Figures are being replaced county by county with values sampled from the live report pipeline; each page says which it has.
- Sixty town acreage guides at /resources/towns/, from Sherwood Park to La Crête.
- Province-wide tables for well depth, frost-free days and hardiness zones, and solar, each with a chart and an embed snippet.
- Contractor pages by county for wells, septic, solar, fencing and excavation, only where enough providers plausibly serve the county.
- A grant program section at /grants/ with 27 program pages, a dates calendar with a subscribable feed, and honest labelling of planning pathways in the quiz.
- A real report you can read, generated on Crown land: the live example.
- Eight new buyer guides: well records lookup, title search, septic cost, subdividing, soil zones, wetlands check, hardiness map, and the 15 questions.
- Fixes: a corrupt sitemap and 78 pages that were accidentally hidden from search are repaired.
Next month: intake dates on every grant page, a methodology audit of the sampled county figures, and the first reader questions. Send yours to matthewh@landintelligence.online.
