Alberta's program for riparian, grazing, and land practices. This is the Alberta counterpart to the "BMP" programs other provinces run.
On-farm irrigation and on-farm water supply for primary producers (typically ≥$25k commodities). Dugout ≠ household well — acreage domestic wells are usually package/permit, not this grant.
Federal support for nitrogen management, cover crops, and rotational grazing, delivered through provincial organizations.
Open for eligible rural/remote households: one-time rebate up to $1,000 for LEO satellite hardware and install. Business purchases ineligible.
Alberta support for value-added processing on the farm.
Closed to new applications — not anticipated to reopen before September 2026. Monitor the official page; do not plan current purchases around OFEP.
Alberta research and adoption funding. A fit for on-farm trials, not routine equipment purchases.

Riparian and grazing practices in Alberta are funded through RALP and the Water Program. Programs from other provinces do not apply to Alberta land.
